Best tv show---desperate housewives!!

I have been watching desperate housewives since first season. I think it brings something new, it is like soap with more qualified story and characters so that everyone started to watch. To be honest the first season is the best one. And unfortunately the last one is a disaster. I think they should end the show with a great finale without making the series more foolish.
And for the next season there will be no Edie. When I first heard it, I definitely didn't believe it. She is one of the best characters in desperate housewives; there will be no amusement without her.
