Star Trek XI plot vs. the book "Enterprise"

There was a book written in the 1980's called “Star Trek Enterprise" that Gene Roddenberry actually endorsed as the beginning of Star Trek. It deals with the same premise as the new movie, the first mission aboard the Star Trek Enterprise with Cpt Kirk in command. I'm wondering if this has any bearing at all in the new movie, if parts were incorporated (like spock and scotty's obvious disdain for their new captain after serving under pike), the introduction of the bird of prey which was stolen from the klingons by a "rebel," or if they have completely ignored that. Does anyone know anything about the Star Trek Enterprise plot?
