Sex and the city, advertisement for luxury goods?

Sex and the city was basically a giant advertisement for luxury goods that most Americans can’t afford. You could either look at it as totally inappropriate during a time of such deep economic downturn or view but I think it as harmless clothing and accessory porn also dirty sexy money. Whatever. It’s nice to have a mindless pretty diversion when so much crap is going on in the world. And you, how do you think about sex and the city then
