'Desperate Housewives' Star Devastated Over Her On-screen Daughter's Storyline

The finale ofDesperate Housewives DVD boxset has certainly reset the series several years into the future to make room for more dramatic twists and suspenseful plots. To that end, viewers got a glimpse of the big changes in store for the residents of Wisteria Lane. While the biggest shock was Susan in the arms of a man (Gale Harold) who was not her husband Mike Delfino (James Denton), the most devastating for cast member Teri Hatcher was seeing Andrea Bowen, who has played her Desperate Housewives DVD boxset daughter Julie Mayer since the premiere, depart the ABC dramedy.

Hatcher, who plays klutzy Susan, reportedly slammed the producers of Desperate Housewives DVD boxset for axing Bowen, whose character on the series was sent off to college.
