ZZ going? and pardew unhappy

This was in the daily mail today:

West Bromwich are closing in on a £2m deal for Charlton’s Chinese midfielder Zheng Zhi just 24 hours after missing out on his team-mate Madjid Bougherra.

Charlton manager Alan Pardew has admitted he was forced to sell defender Bougherra to Rangers for £3m to balance the books.

Pardew says others may follow Bougherra out of The Valley.

He said: ‘The agenda here has changed. It’s very frustrating because when I took over the club at Christmas almost 18 months ago the financial situation wasn’t quite what was sold to me.’

This last bit is quite worrying as at the moment the club needs stability for a promotion push

The ZZ story was on my site last night but yes I hope he don't go but for £2mill with him having 1 year left on his current contract, that is a good deal! Where as Pardew is unhappy, I think if the board carries on the way it is pards will be off soon.

Personally I don't really mind if zz leaves provided we get a good price for £2.5m+, as we could hopefully get a midfielder whos not as lightweight as him and on a lower wage as apparently zz is one of the top earners

what is WestBrom after Watson as well?

nah i read somewhere that birmingham were after watson though and considering they've just been relegated they have the money to spend

I just heard that Watson is set to sign for Notts Forest for £2mill

I think if the board carries on the way it is pards will be off soon.
