'Criminal Minds' finale "scariest yet"

Criminal Minds dvd producer Erica Messer has revealed she believes the show's recent season finale to be the scariest episode yet.

Messer revealed that fellow producer Ed Benero's mandate was to make the final episode of the current Criminal Minds DVD Box set the most frightening so far.

Messer explained, "What I realized is, I needed to know what scares me. If I wrote my fear then there will be a truth to it."

The episode features Tim Curry as Billy Flynn, a serial killer who strikes during blackouts.

Messer revealed that Curry's character "kills families, but always leaves one person alive, which is psychological torture for the rest of that person's life".

"He feeds off of making people powerless," she added.

Criminal Minds box set Season 6 will begin airing in September.
