This is a tough one but the way i see it, they're using the same type of jokes, but I don't think family guy dvd can "call" these jokes, these have been used a lot before and family guy dvd set might have done it before simpsons dvd box set did, but it's not ripping off family guy dvds.

Well, that's true, it did come first, but it's changed so much does it really mean as much, the simpsons dvd box set was the first of it's type, which family guy series dvd series was also in, but family guy dvds is also the first of a different type, which the simpsons dvd collection are now in, so being the original isn't really all that big.
