Bones: Is this like Buffy?

I'm a huge Buffy：the vampire slayer fan, and I saw this had David Boreanaz in it. I want to know if I will like this show. I like other shows such as The X-Files and Angel. Does David act a lot differently than he did when he was Angel, or will you see some similarities? I'm debating on whether I should get:

Bones: Season 1

Supernatural: Season 1

The X-Files: Season 2

I can probabally get two though.
