Queer as folk, not pornography

I’m watching Queer as folk recommended by my friends. If you can get through the first episode, and not be too disturbed by the gay sex, you will be rewarded with a very human story. The sex is presented as just another part of life (though a very integral one for these guys), is not pornography in that the sex while highly suggestive does not show penetration and rarely full frontal. Did anyone watched it yet? What’s your opinion of Queer as folk?
The fifth season of Queer as Folk is the final run for the gay dramatic Showtime series. Are you sad to see it end or happy that it's over?
